Sometimes, a girl just has to take a break from applying makeup in order to pamper herself. I know that makeup is considered pampering but it;’s really not. It’s really quite laborious. Men just have no idea how many layers are involved and how many hours of practice it takes to get right., Then you’ve got to do it every day which takes about half an hour minimum plus the time you need to remove it and cleanse, tone and moisturise your skin afterwards. Pampering yourself, on the other hand actually involves lounging around in your trackies, leaving the sleep in your eyes and getting pizza all over your face while you eat.
After my boyfriend, Royce, gave me a bouquet of flowers the other day, I felt I was being “pampered”. They smelled so delicious because of the iceberg rose. I asked Royce, “Would you have given these to me if I wasn’t wearing any makeup.”
He raised his eyebrows. “Sure.”
“But you haven’t seen me without makeup.”
“CAn’t be that different, right?”
Little did he know how involved my makeup regime was, and that I looked like a totally different person.
So the next day, I went out to meet him without makeup on. I felt so naked going out of my house.
Then when he saw me his jaw hit the floor. He was trying to disguise his shock I could tell. He handed me some standard roses, and I knew that it was symbolic. Standard roses for bland girls, iceberg roses for super hot makeup girls. And that was the last time I ever went out without makeup. One day I’m going to look really stunning and I’ll be able to tell by what flowers he gives me. I’m thinking orchards represent the pinnacle of attractiveness.
